STEPS, Inc. processes over 500 tons of material each year.

Products accepted for recycling:

• Corrugate (cardboard)
• Office paper
• Plastic Jugs, #1 - #7
• Newspaper
• Aluminum cans

Commercial customers include:

• Cumberland County
• Prince Edward County
• Town of Farmville

In 1994, STEPS and the Town of Farmville were awarded the "Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence." This award recognized the unique relationship between the Town of Farmville and STEPS.

The recycling center employs seven (7) individuals with disabilities.
